Lady Eagles Finish Second in Pioneer Conference Tournament

The Lady Eagles went 2-1 in the Pioneer Conference Tournament at Tri County High School, falling to Lourdes Central Catholic (LCC) in the conference final on Saturday, February 4 resulting in a second place finish in the tournament. Johnson-Brock reached the title game after defeating Pawnee City on Tuesday, January 31 and Lewiston on Thursday, February 2. Johnson-Brock improves to 16-5 after the tournament.

On a night where the Bulldogs couldn’t buy a three-point shot, the Tigers rode a 16-3 run to open a 13-point lead in the third quarter. Auburn battled back in the fourth quarter, outscoring Falls City 13-2 in the final 9 minutes and 20 seconds of the contest, and had an opportunity to take the lead on the final possession of the game, but couldn’t get the shot to fall.
