Auburn Girls Finish Fourth at Wayne State Holiday Tournament, Rally in Fourth Quarter for Comeback Win Over Blue Jays

The Bulldog girls went 1-2 at the Wayne State Holiday Tournament at Wayne State College. Auburn started the week with a 50-29 victory over Winnebago to advance to the semifinal round, but fell to Wayne 55-40, followed by a loss to Pierce 58-38 to finish fourth in the tournament. The girls fall to 6-4 on the year after the tournament.

The Eagles played two very different games this past week, especially from an offensive perspective. On Tuesday, December 13, the Eagles’ offense was rolling to the tune of a 63-19 win over Diller-Odell. On Friday, December 16, that offense could not find any ground against Tri County, but the Eagles still came out with the victory.
