In their initial 2023 outdoor competition, the Johnson- Brock Lady Eagles placed fifth and the Eagles ninth in the Thunderbird Invitational Monday, April 3 at Johnson County Central (JCC) High School in Tecumseh.
Auburn track & field athletes competed at their home invitational on Tuesday, March 28. The Bulldog girls finished third at the home meet, while the boys came in fourth. Mackenzie Stanley, Kristen Billings, and Addison Darnell all won events for the girls. Stanley won the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.59 and the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.86, while
(Peru, Neb.)—Peru State completed its fourgame sweep of Park Monday afternoon with two victories. The back half of this series was played in Parkville, Mo., due to impending weather. Peru State beat Park 11-7, 4-3, 3-2 and 2-1.
After starting the season 2-1 with victories over Omaha North and West Nodaway, Auburn earned a #8 ranking in the Omaha World Herald. After a solid starting week, the Bulldogs would struggle in their next three games against Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, and Platte Valley, suffering losses to each team. The Bulldogs fall to 4-2 on the season, as they will try to regroup against Raymond Central and Falls City this week.
