The Auburn eDawgs program completed their very first season of eSports, which included the program’s first taste of state tournament competition. Two Super Smash Bros. 2v2 teams competed at state, the first falling to Louisville three rounds to one after receiving a bye in the first round. The second team defeated Exeter-Milligan/ Friend 3-0, before being eliminated by Winnebago 3-0 in the second round on Monday, November 6.

2023 Eagle Football Season Recap, Stat Leaders

The Eagle football team completed a perfect regular season, going 8-0 for the first time since their most recent state title season in 2018, and earned a district title before improving to 10-0 with playoff wins over Winside and Anselmo- Merna in Johnson to reach the state quarterfinals. The Eagles earned the #1 seed in the 2023 Class D2 8-man football playoffs. Through all 11 games, Johnson-Brock defeated their opponents 547-134 for an average score of 50-12. They posted three shutouts including one over Winside (58-0) in the first round of the playoffs and defeated two opponents by 58 points and another by 57 points. Johnson-Brock scored 60 points three times this season with 69 points against HTRS, 66 points against Diller-Odell and 64 points against Falls City Sacred Heart. The Eagles held their opponent below 20 points all but two games- Falls City Sacred Heart (20 points) and Sandhills/ Thedford (60 points).
