Auburn Baseball isn’t taking anything for granted. After the 2020 spring season was canceled due to the pandemic, the Bulldogs only achieved one win in Coach Tommy Grafton’s first season as head baseball coach in 2021. So, it was back to the drawing board for Grafton, who was critical of his own mistakes last season. He thought about the way he learned the game growing up. How the focus was on the basics and making the right decisions. In his preparation, Grafton was able to pinpoint the mindset he wanted the team to adopt: a “last out” mentality.

Johnson-Brock Track and Field Athletes Get Good Weather in Which to Compete

The difficult Nebraska spring weather cooperated long enough for the Eagles and Lad Eagles to run a track meet in Pawnee City without having to battle cold rains or violent winds on Tuesday, April 26. Calm winds and a temperature in the 70s by the afternoon were a stark contrast from the disruptive conditions that the Johnson-Brock track and field athletes experienced at the MUDECAS meet at Tri County just three days earlier.

Jibril Harris Earns First Team All-Midlands Honors

On Sunday, April 17, the NCAA DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO All-Midlands Teams were announced.by the Omaha World-Herald. Jibril Harris (Chicago) was named to the All-Midlands First Team. Henry Tanksley (Lincoln) and Troy Houghton (Omaha) were named as Honorable Mentions.
