Auburn Legion Juniors Grab First Two Wins in Area Tournament

The Auburn Airstream Juniors began play in their area tournament in Ashland this past week. The Juniors earned the #1 seed in the area, and played #8 Nebraska City in the first round, just four days after defeating them 14-5 in Nebraska City. After defeating Nebraska City for the second straight time, the Juniors pulled off a shutout of Falls City to advance to the third round to play Lincoln Christian on Monday, July 10. Regardless of the result of the Lincoln Christian game, the Juniors would need to win one more games in the double-elimination format to advance to the final. Other teams in the are tournament include Elmwood-Murdock/Nehawka, Ashland, Plattsmouth, Hickman.
