A kids golf tournament held in honor of the late Ken Teten was held last week at the Auburn Country Club for kids ages 5 through eight grade. Kids practiced swinging their clubs from 9-11 a.m. from Monday, July 31 to Friday August 4. The clinic was free and funded by the Ken Teten Memorial Tournament. Volunteers took the young golfers through stations, showing them skills like driving, chipping, and putting, allowing them to get repetitions at the fundamental skills of the game. Later in the week, the kids got to take the course to put all their skills together and play the holes at the ACC course.
