The First National Bank of Johnson Seniors’ season ended last weekend in the Class B Area 2 tournament after losses to Ashland and Nebraska City. The Seniors earned a #6 rating in the tournament and were matched up against #3 Ashland in the first round. After the loss to Ashland, the Seniors faced #7 Nebraska City in a losers’ bracket game. The Seniors finished 12-18 on the season.
Two Auburn High School graduates have been named scholar-athletes from Doane University at Crete.
Labor Day weekend brings the first 2022 home football game of the Peru State College (PSC) Bobcats.
Two student-athletes on the 2022 Peru State College softball team achieved All-Midlands Honorable Mention from the Omaha World-Herald.
