Both Johnson-Brock and #2 Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (BDS) entered Thursday night’s football game in Johnson with 5-0 records, but one team would have to leave with their first loss of the season. It was the Eagles of BDS that improved to 6-0 on the year, while the Eagles of Johnson-Brock dropped to 5-1 on the season.
After a 2-0 start to the season, the Auburn football schedule provided a pair of tests for the Bulldogs in the form of Wahoo and Ashland- Greenwood. The Bulldogs fell to Wahoo 21-7 and were shut out by the Class C1 #4 rated Bluejays in Auburn the next week. After getting back in the win column on September 23 over Raymond Central, the Bulldogs were handed another challenge as they hosted 4-1 Lincoln Christian on Friday, September 30.
Almost an entire month after they played their first set of volleyball in the fall 2022 season, the Lady Eagles finally got to play on their home court against Freeman on Thursday, September 22. On the first of September, the Eagles defeated the Falcons two sets to one in the Freeman tournament.
The Bulldog volleyball team dropped three matches this past week to HTRS, Palmyra, and Johnson County Central. The Bulldogs, fell to 2-11 on the season after the losses.
