Young Bulldog Girls Lose 24-43 to Sidney in District Final

The Auburn Bulldog girls’ basketball season ended Friday night, Feb. 26 in the C1-8 district final at Kearney. Auburn lost 24-43 to Sidney.

Coach Grant Cole’s Comments

“The girls gave a great effort and competed hard. We were right in the game for three quarters, but ran out of gas in the fourth.

“I am very proud of this team. They had a great season finishing with a 17-6 record. This is a great group of girls who will be even more motivated to come back next season and contend. Jocelyn Lambert was our one senior this year. Even though she couldn’t play due to injury, I want to thank her for an outstanding four years and for being a great role model for this team. She is an outstanding person and is going to be very successful.
