Strong Hitting a Trait of 2020 Bulldog Volleyball Team Which Went 13-9 in COVID-19 Impacted Season

The 2020 Auburn High School Volleyball Team recently concluded an unusual season to say the least. The Lady Bulldogs also got lots of help from underclassmen who will be back under a new head coach next year.

Coach Lexie Baack said about the 2020 season, “This has been a year for the books!!!! With all of the adversity we faced this year with injuries, covid-related issues, and even having a bus break down on the way to a game these girls prevailed!!! Our team word for this year was ‘Resilience’ and I feel like they really owned it.

“Our record was 13-9. Unfortunately, because of quarantining, we played 11 less games than last year. We were unable to play in our conference tournament, but finished our year in postseason play with a first round win in subdistrict action.

“We overcame a big hurdle by beating Johnson-Brock for the first time in nine years, which was a pretty exciting game! We also broke the Auburn Volleyball Team Record for highest team hitting percentage with .303.
