Regan Kirby Signs Letter of Intent with Bobcat Softball

On the recent signing day, Regan Kirby, a senior at Gretna High School, signed her letter of intent to play softball for the Peru State Bobcats in the fall of 2017. Kirby, the daughter of Jeremy and Holly Kirby, played outfield for the Dragons who qualified this past month for the Nebraska State Activities Association (NSAA) Class B Championships. Gretna, which finished the regular season with a 26-4 mark, finished as runners-up in Class B having come through the loser’s bracket to force a second game with the eventual champion, Elkhorn South. The previous year, the Dragons were the state champions having defeated Elkhorn South in the title game.
