Nineteen Teams Compete in Darrold Nies Memorial Golf Tournament

The 16th annual Darrold Nies Memorial Golf Tournament took place Friday, June 14 at the Auburn Country Club.
First flight winners were Hemmingsen Funeral Home with a score of 58. Close behind was Gerdes Construction with a 61. The winners of the second flight were Knight Who Say Ni with a 72 and The Sodbusters with a 73.
Maria Hudson reported the event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. Hudson is Longs Creek Village Assisted Living manager, and the center’s marketing/resource development director. She said there were 19 teams and 20 hole sponsors.
