Justin Barnes Peru State Grad Assistant Coaching Linebackers

Better known as “JB”, Justin Barnes (Tallahassee, Fla.) has worked as a graduate assistant for the Peru State football program this past academic year.

Barnes earned his bachelor’s in computer and management information systems from Peru State in December of 2018, He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in organizational management. His coaching tenure at Peru came after his playing days as a Bobcat.

As a Bobcat, he finished his career with 192 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss and three interceptions. He began coaching in the fall of 2018 as a student volunteer which led to former head coach Steve Schneider offering him a graduate assistant coaching position.
