First Practices of NSAA Fall Sports Monday, August 10th

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is preparing to begin the 2020 fall sports season as currently scheduled.

First practices for football, volleyball, cross country, girls golf and softball are set to begin Monday, Aug. 10. Auburn and Johnson-Brock High Schools compete in football and volleyball. Auburn also competes in the other three sports.

The association believes the health and safety of its student participants, coaches and officials continues to be its priority as it work to provide activities for its member schools. Modifications may need to be made. The NSAA requests everyone please be understanding and flexible as it continues to try to navigate through this pandemic. The organization will be working with the governor’s office, Nebraska Department of Education and local health departments to make the best decisions for students and member schools.

NSAA recommends schools should:

–keep all activities, practices and scrimmages in-house to avoid interaction with other teams;
