Eagles Remain Undefeated; Play Dec. 20 at Sterling

The Johnson-Brock Eagles have won their first six games of the 2018-2019 season after picking up a trio of wins over five days. The Eagles won 86-60 over Diller-Odell Tuesday, Dec. 11; triumphed over Tri County 70-40 Friday, Dec. 14 in their home opener before taking out Lourdes Central Catholic 54-29 Saturday, Dec. 15.

Diller-Odell

Kaden Glynn scored 20 points and Ty Hahn 19 leading the Eagles to the win at Odell. Hahn hit 9 of 11 field goals, including 8 of 9 from 2-point range. Cole Fossenbarger chipped in with 17, including three treys. The senior was 6 of 6 from the field. Dylan Rowe added 11. Additional scoring: Caleb Fossenbarger 7, Shane Westhart 6, and 2 each from Kolt Davis, Seth Moerer and Wyatt Volker. In 2-point goals, Johnson-Brock shot 30 of 45, 67 percent. The Eagles were successful on 7 of 16 treys, 44 percent. The team made 5 of 8 from the free throw line, 63 percent. Glynn was successful on all 3 tries from the charity stripe. Cole Fossenbarger went 2 of 3 from the line. Rebounds: Hahn 6, Glynn 5, Rowe 4, Cole Fossenbarger 3, Moerer and Volker 2 apiece; and 1 each by Brendon Froisland, Hunter Oestmann and Westhart. Assists: Glynn 8; Hahn 4; Cole Fossenbarger 3; and 1 apiece from Volker and Westhart. Steals: Glynn 4; Rowe 3; Hahn and Oestmann 2 each; and Caleb Fossenbarger, Cole Fossenbarger, Moerer and Westhart 1 apiece. Blocks: Rowe 2 and Westhart 1. Moerer had 5 fouls while no other Eagle was called for more than 1 personal foul. Johnson-Brock had 6 turnovers on the night. William McLaughlin was the Griffins’ top scorer tallying 23 points. That included 5 treys. Ryan Arnold hit 11 as the other double figure scorer. Diller-Odell was 1 of 6 in free throws.
