District Loss to Waverly Ends Bulldog Baseball Season

The Auburn Bulldogs’ baseball team’s second season ended late Friday afternoon, May 5. The Bulldogs, fifth seed lost to fourth seed Waverly 6-9 in the District B-6 tournament at Omaha Skutt High School. Auburn finished the 2017 season with a 3-13 record.

 

Kyson Warner had two hits, including a double, scoring once and driving in two. Baily Darnell also collected two hits, scoring three runs, walking once and stealing two bases. John Kinnaman had the other Bulldog hit, two RBI, a sacrifice fly, a walk and a steal. Hank Lickteig had Auburn’s other RBI. Drew Dixon scored twice drawing three bases on balls. Branden Lavigne walked twice. Caden Chapin, Skyler Hopper and Samuel Neiman each also reached base via a walk.
