Bulldogs Competed Hard at State Track and Field Championships

Auburn High School Track and Field Coach Mark Oliver said the Bulldog boys competed very well in the Class B State Meet at Burke Stadium.

Daniel Frary led the way with a fifth place finish in the long jump and a third finish in the triple jump. His long jump and triple jump marks were also top ten marks in the all-class standings this year. Oliver said, “Daniel finished a remarkable senior season that included two state medals and a school record in the triple jump! Daniel suffered a hamstring injury at districts, yet he sucked it up and competed at the highest level in the state. That is what defined and separated Daniel from rest of the competitors in Auburn and the rest of the state. He will be missed and I was so proud to have coached him!”

Coach said Ryan Binder had a good meet in the long jump. He missed the finals by one place to finish 10th out of 24 jumpers. His 20’-9 1/4” jump was a personal best for him this season!
