Baker Softball Sweeps Peru State in Close Contests

It came down to the final inning in both games as the Baker Wildcats swept a pair of Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) games over Peru State in Baldwin City, Kan., on Saturday, April 15. The Wildcats topped the Bobcats 3-2 in eight innings in the first game and then won 3-1 with a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh in the second game.
With the wins, Baker improved to 17-16 overall and 10-10 in conference play. Peru State fell to 13-28 on the season and 8-18 in the Heart.
