Auburn Qualifies Team for State Girls Golf Tournament

Last season, Auburn golfers Lucy Hayes and Jamisyn Kirkpatrick competed at the NSAA Class C State Girls Golf Championships. Both juniors at the time, Hayes finished in the 50th spot, with Kirkpatrick, who also qualified as a sophomore, coming in 23rd. This year the duo will be heading back to state, but they’ll have a full team with them. The Bulldog girls golf team posted a score of 418 at the district C-1 golf meet in Lincoln earn second place and qualify for state as a team.

Kirkpatrick earned a third place individual finish with a score of 83 to send herself to state for the third consecutive year. Hayes also punched her ticket for the second straight year with a score of 88, landing her in fifth place. Bulldogs Aca Andrew, Delaney Stahl, and Hunter Stevenson also added to the second place finish and will represent Auburn at state.

The 2023 NSAA Class C State Girls Golf Championships will consist of two rounds, both starting at 9 a.m. at Lake Mahoney Golf Course in North Platte from Monday, October 9 to Tuesday, October 10.
