Three Nemaha County basketball players had the opportunity to represent their schools in the Southeast Community College All-Star Game at SCC Beatrice on June 12. Johnson-Brock’s Jordan Koehler and Auburn’s Daniel Frary and Cam Binder all added another win to their high school careers.

Jordan Koehler Shined

Koehler, who played for the East team, was a key player in the comeback victory. At the post, Koehler hauled in a game high 13 rebounds, eight of them coming on the offensive board. The former Eagle also showed her value on defense, holding down the paint for the East team.

The East trailed by double digits for most of the game, but after tightening up the defense, that deficit shrunk in the fourth quarter and eventually disappeared late in the game. A 20-6 fourth quarter advantage for the East allowed them to pull out the victory 57-54.
