The Omaha World-Herald (OWH) released its Midlands College All-Nebraska Women’s Basketball selections on Easter Sunday. OWH staff writer Gene Schinzel revealed the selections which came on nominations and/ or votes from coaches and sports information directors across the state.
Peru State women’s basketball player Alyssa Marsh-Contreras (Omaha) was selected for the NAIA/NCAA D-III Second Team. The 5-7 sophomore guard is the youngest competitor named to either of the top two teams.
Bobcat senior Claire Cudney (Marysville, Mo.) earned honorable mention recognition.
