Willis Dean Bohling

Willis Dean Bohling was born to August and Edna Bohling on May 18, 1943 at Auburn, Nebraska. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1961. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann (Goracke) Bohling on January 10, 1964. For the last 54 years, Willis made his home northeast of Tecumseh, Nebraska. To this union Kimberly and Robert Bohling were born. Willis “Willie” enjoyed farming, livestock, working construction in Omaha, gardening, flowers and his house dogs. He loved joking and socializing with his many friends and watching his grandsons play sports. He was involved with cleaning St. John’s Lutheran Church for over 18 years. He passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Willie is survived by his daughter, Kim Bohling of Tecumseh and son, Bob Bohling and wife Kristin of Tecumseh; grandsons, Brett and Trever Bohling; sister, Edie Bohling of Montana; sister-in-law, Joanne Bohling of Gretna; special friends Carol McCann and Judy Pella, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ann, (9-5-2009), brothers, Ivan “Ike” Bohling and wife LaVeda, LeRoy Bohling and wives Mary and “Toby” and Dwayne “Pete” Bohling. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tecumseh, with Rev. Robert Schermbeck officiating. Loretta Kerchal, organist, accompanied congregational hymns, “How Great Thou Art”, “Rock Of Ages” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again.” Pallbearers were Craig Bohling, Roger Bohling, Jim Bohling, Ron Bohling, Todd Bohling, Pat Goracke and Josh Hurst. Interment was in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh. Memorials may go to the family’s choice. Services were entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh.
