RUTH ADELINE (MILLER) BLINDE 1921-2016

Ruth Adeline (Miller) Blinde, 95, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at a local healthcare facility. She was born July 18, 1921 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Carl and Lorena (Crane) Miller. She was a resident of St. Joseph all of her life. She married Ralph D. Blinde on May 3, 1945. Ruth was a 1939 graduate of Central High School. She also attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College in Maryville, Mo. for two years and worked for San Antonio School District, Missouri for one year. During WWII, Ruth worked at North American Aviation in Fairfax, Kansas for two years. Ruth was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was a finance secretary there for many years. She also worked with Ralph at the V.F.W. Credit Union. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; and brother, Marvin C. Miller. Survivors include two sons, Ralph Lynn Blinde, Dearborn, Missouri, and Ross Thomas Blinde (Sheryl), St. Joseph; two daughters, Janet Sue Dewey (Doug), Azle, Texas, and Mary Lou Rogers, Dallas, Texas; three grandsons; four granddaughters; three great-grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; four step great-grandchildren; niece, Sue Johnson; and nephew, Ron Miller. Farewell services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
