RICKY DEAN HUEY

1953-2018

 

Ricky Dean Huey, one of five children of Clyde and Shirley (Vice) Huey, was born August 9, 1953, in Auburn, Nebraska. He grew up and attended school in Stella, Nebraska. A hard-working man, Rick worked for over 29 years at Beard’s Salvage in Auburn. When he wasn’t at work, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Rick entered St. Elizabeth Health Center in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 14, 2018. It was there he passed away at the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 6 days. His parents, brother John Huey, and sister Linda McMann preceded him in death. Rick is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Candy Brown and Rocky of Topeka, Kansas; Misty Huey of Auburn, Peggy Adams and Rick of Verdon, Dawn Allgood-Hale and Trevor of Red Oak, Iowa; grandchildren: Chance, Taylor, Sidney, Spencer, Payton, Lillian, Austin, Caitlyn; great-grandson Zaidyn; sister and brother-in-law Paula and Gary Hayes of Shubert, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Linda Huey of Iowa; other relatives and many friends. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, February 23, 2018, at the American Legion Club in Auburn, officiated by Dave “Boss Man” Erwin. Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
