PATRICIA “PATTY” STUTHEIT

1956-2019

Patricia “Patty” Eileen Stutheit, one of seven children of George and Daisy (Dunlap) Anderson, was born July 21, 1956 in Ogallala, Nebraska. Her family moved to Nemaha, Nebraska and attended school there. She graduated from Southeast Nebraska Consolidated School in Stella in 1974. She earned her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, where she was on the Dean’s Honor Roll and a member of the Honor Society.

Patty worked for 38 years at the Good Samaritan Center in Auburn, Nebraska. She started working there before attending school at SECC, worked part-time while a student, and continued at Good Sam after becoming an LPN. Patty retired in the spring of 2013 for health reasons.

On June 21, 1997 Patty was united in marriage to Mervin Stutheit at Coryell Park near Brock, Nebraska. They made their home in Dawson, Nebraska with a family that included seven children.

Patty loved to have her grandkids around her and treasured them as well as the rest of her family. She also enjoyed painting, reading, bowling, and motorcycling with Merv.

Due to ill health, Patty was admitted to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. After about two weeks at the hospital, she passed away there, with family around her, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She had reached the age of 62 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Patty was preceded in death by her father George, parents-in-law, a brother Randy, and her son Trent.

Patty will always be remembered by her husband Mervin of Dawson; children and spouses Jamie and Jeff Vaughn of Humboldt; Tyler and Jenny Stutheit of Humboldt; Jessica and Michael Murphy of Peru; Jim Nincehelser of Dawson; Josh and Courtney Nincehelser of Dawson; Jacob and Melanie Nincehelser of Columbus; 15 grandchildren; mother Daisy Anderson of Humboldt; siblings and spouses Lee and Laurie Anderson of Humboldt; Jesse Anderson of Humboldt; George and Ashley Anderson of Atlantic, Iowa; Shirley Salber of Adams; Charles and Lisa Anderson of Dawson; sister-in-law Sue Walker of Lincoln; brothersin-law Don (Barbara) Stutheit of Kirkland, Washington; Eddie Stutheit of Tecumseh; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, officiated by Rev. Jonathan Rathjen. Casket Bearers were Eddie Stutheit, George Anderson, Jim Halsey, Ed Horr, Charles Anderson, and Jesse Anderson. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru.

Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn.
