KENNETH A. DOWNS

Kenneth Allyn Downs, 67, of Nemaha, Nebraska was born on February 22, 1952, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Horace and Shirley (Peabody) Downs. On February 28, 1969, Kenneth entered active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and served his country until being honorably discharged on June 6, 1972. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Beck and they have made their home in Nemaha, Nebraska.

Kenneth passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home in Nemaha, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of 69 years, six months and 19 days. He was preceded in death by his father.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Cheryl of Nemaha, mother Shirley Daggett of Somersworth, N.H.; sons: Kenny Delano of Maine, Eric Delano of Connecticut, brothers: William “Billy” Daggett of Maine, Kevin Harmon of Maine, sisters: Kimberly (Terry) Smith of Berwick, Minn.; Kathy (Ed) Richardson, step-children: Nancy Beck of Tarkio, Missouri; Barbara (Josh) Lein of Grand Junction, Colo.; David Beck of Woodward, Okla.; a step-brother Dale (Karen) Daggett of Rochester, N.H.; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kenneth’s family are in charge of services that will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
