1934-2021

Clay Center, Nebraska resident John Timothy Clark, Sr., 86, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at his home in Clay Center.

Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Clay Center Christian Church in Clay Center, with Pastor Arick Johanson officiating. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Sheridan West Cemetery near Auburn, Nebraska with military honors by the American Legion Post #23 of Auburn. Visitation with the family present was Thursday, evening at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center.

John Timothy Clark, Sr., was born December 29, 1934, in Auburn, Neb. to Earl Timothy and Mary Elizabeth (Wigger) Clark. He received his education in Brownville, Neb., and furthered his education at Peru State College. On Decem ber 25, 1953, he married Hazel Ann Hoagland in Humboldt, Neb. John was employed with Dahlsten Truck Line until his retirement in 2015.

John loved spending time with his family and enjoyed Husker sporting events, fishing, camping and playing cards.

He is survived by his children, John and wife Barb Clark of Auburn; Tom and wife Sandy Clark of Auburn; Pat Clark of Clay Center; Ronda and husband Terry Nolan of Hastings, Neb.; and Christy Clark and fiancé Benjamin Ayala of Sutton, Neb.; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel Ann Clark and son, Jeremy Clark.
