JAMES WILLIAM MILLER, JR.

James William Miller, Jr., son of Chrystal Lynne Davenport and James William Miller, Sr., was born January 11, 2003 in Omaha, Nebraska. He started school in Indiana, then attended school in Auburn, Nebraska and Hamburg, Iowa before moving back to Auburn. James was currently a Senior at Auburn High School.

James had signed to enlist in the U. S. Army following graduation. He was scheduled to attend schooling and become a Reaper drone mechanic at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. His plan was to eventually become a drone pilot.

After being baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Talmage, Nebraska, James had continued his membership there. In high school James was on the wrestling and football teams and had played baseball as well. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, camping, and loved to listen to music.

James was a tinkerer and handyman of sorts and loved to help others when he could. He was a happy young man and was great at raising others’ spirits when they were down.

On the morning of Saturday, January 30, 2021 James left this world to join his maker in Heaven at the young age of 18 years and 19 days.

James will be forever remembered by his mother Chrystal Davenport of Auburn; father James William Miller, Sr. of Talmage; siblings Kyle Davenport of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Margaret Miller of Auburn; Lucas Culley of Auburn; grandparents Jayne and Tab Petersen of Auburn; Wayne and Donna Miller of Talmage; aunt Linda Ogden of Rulo; uncles John Miller (Scarlet Ariza) of Hutto, Texas; Steve Kolb of Lincoln; Kenneth Kolb of Fargo, N.D.; Tab (Jen) Petersen of Morris, Illinois; Anthony Petersen (Tamara Lafferty) of Brock; cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be Friday, February 12, 2021, 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn, officiated by Rev. Kate Woolf. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery at Talmage.
