ILALINE I. CRITSER

1936-2022

Ilaline Iva Critser was born October 4, 1936, to Julius Clyde and Ila Pearl (Price) Bogle in Whiting, Iowa. Her family moved to Nebraska, first Falls City and then Auburn, where Ilaline graduated from high school in 1954.

On May 26, 1963, Ilaline and Justin Critser were united in marriage at the Auburn Christian Church. They made their home in Auburn, and would be blessed with three children: Irene, Frank, and Jon.

In her younger years Ilaline had worked at Midway Grocery, Safeway, and Dairy Queen in Auburn. After their marriage, she and Justin opened Automotive Diesel Inc., which they owned and operated from 1967 to 2015.

Ilaline was a member of the Auburn Christian Church, was very involved with the Rural Entrepreneur Assistance Program (REAP) and volunteered with the Sheridan Cemetery Association. She loved visiting with friends and was a great joke teller. Ilaline enjoyed attending her grandkids activities as well.

As a result of declining health, Ilaline moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn early in 2022, where she enjoyed the care given to her. She passed away at Good Sam on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 20 days. Her granddaughter Alyssa Rose Critser, brothers Wilbur, Harley, Robert, and Loyd, and twin sister Idaline Wrightsman preceded her in death.

Ilaline will be lovingly remembered by her husband Justin; daughter Irene Critser of Holdrege; sons and daughters- in-law Frank and Renee of Auburn, Jon and Jennifer of Hickman; grandchildren Justin, Chad, Maddie, and Kyle; brother Dean (Sharon) Bogle of Humboldt; sister Donna Stricklett of Branson, MO; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be Saturday, December 3, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00. Burial will follow in Sheridan West Cemetery at Auburn.
