GORDON L. KUKER

1942-2019

Gordon Lee Kuker, one of four children of Louis G. and Nellie J. (Foster) Kuker, was born on December 11, 1942 in Salem, Nebraska. Lee attended elementary school in Barada and graduated from Shubert High School. Lee, as he was known by most people, served in the Army during Vietnam. During his time in the service Lee worked in the motor pool repairing helicopters and other equipment. Lee went on to work numerous years in the agricultural business and later in life worked several years in the boat marina industry.

Lee was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed not only watching his children play, but also giving many years to coaching both his own children and numerous others in the area. Lee was an active parent in his children’s school, Southeast Consolidated, through his service on the school board and involvement with PFK. Lee was always known as a person who put others first and would lend a hand to any neighbor in need. Lee was an active member of the Stella Community Church for many years. Lee was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Stella for many years.

Lee passed away on December 12, 2019 at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida having reached the age of 77 years and 1 day. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Nellie Kuker, and his two brothers, Russell Kuker and Doug Kuker.

Those left to honor Lee’s memory include Frank Moffit of Bonita Springs, Fla.; daughter, Angie (Carson) Antholz of Humboldt; sons Mike (Marcy) Kuker of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Tim Kuker of Humboldt; grandchildren Christine Kuker, Aaron Antholz, Brandon Kuker, Amanda Antholz, Trinity Mahoney, Sara Kuker, Levi Kuker, and Ellie Kuker; one-great grandchild Lucas Collazo; sister Patricia (Robert) Joy of Falls City; former wife of 25 years Brenda Kuker of Humboldt; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on December 28, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Stella Community Church in Stella, Nebraska.
