GARY F. PETERS

Gary F. Peters, age 69, of Mission, Texas passed away on Saturday December 9th, 2017 at Pax Villa Hospice in Mission, Texas. He was born July 11, 1948 in Nebraska City, Nebraska the son of Frank and Evelyn Peters. He attended high school in Talmage and graduated with the class of 1967. Gary is survived by his wife Beverly Peters; two children Matt (Stacey) Peters of Adams, Neb. and Abbie (Ben) Ferguson of Chicago, Illinois; and four grandchildren McCoy and Blakely Peters, and Lucy and Henry Ferguson. Gary is also survived by a large family including four sisters, Phyllis McFarland of Englewood, Colo., Judy Eichenberger of Talmage Neb., Barbara Moerer of Lincoln Neb., and Annette Petersen of Auburn, Neb. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, DeAnne Hahn of Boulder, Colo. Throughout his life he enjoyed his work as an electrical lineman in Nebraska and Missouri where he retired from Co Mo Electric in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, gardening and most importantly good friends and family. Retirement led him to Mission, Texas where he enjoyed the warm weather and bountiful fishing. Gary was known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and for making instant friends, including the neighborhood pets. Celebrations of life of are planned throughout the spring.
