EDNA MARIE WHEELDON

Born a Nebraska farm girl to Arthur and Edith Allgood of Peru, Nebr. Edna Allgood married Kenneth Wheeldon, of Brownville, Nebr. on January 1, 1947. They had two children, Connie Burdick of Lincoln, California, and James Wheeldon of Montana . The family lived in Auburn and Fremont, Nebr. ; and Carroll, Iowa before moving to California in 1960. Edna was a stay-at-home Mom who went back to school at age 43 to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Graduating with honors, she was hired at Sutter Memorial Hospital where she worked for 12 years on the cardiac floor, retiring in 1984. She always cared compassionately for others, whether family, friend or patient. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, her two children, along with three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews in Auburn and Peru. The family wishes to thank Sunshine Senior Care and Bristol Hospice for their loving care. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
