DONAL-DEEN PARRIOTT LEWIS

Donnie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed away on May 21, 2019 in Kansas City Mo. at the age of 91.

Donnie was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She is survived by two children: Marsha Lewis Vanderford (son-in-law John Vanderford) from Smithville, Missouri, and Pamela Lewis Foley (son-in-law Thomas C. Foley) from Longwood, Florida. Grandchildren: Bradley Foley (wife Ann, children Julian and James), Nicholas Foley, Carrie Vanderford Sanders (husband Scott Sanders, children Caleb, Ethan, and Natalie), Vanessa Vanderford Ortiz (husband Andrew Ortiz). Donnie’s surviving siblings: Betty Parriott Oliver, Sedona, Arizona, Richard Parriott Peru, Neb., and JoAnn Parriott Russell Cottonwood, Arizona, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded by her husband John L. Lewis, her parents Richard E. Parriott and Fern Jenny Adams Parriott, and her sister Norma Jean Parriott Hatten.

She grew up on a Peru farm that has been in the Parriott family over 100 years; married John in May 1948; lived in Michigan, Indiana, California, Arizona, Florida and Nebraska. She worked in the Bank of Peru and Omaha State Bank. She loved to travel and visited many countries. She was a member of Eastern Star and had been a member of P.E.O. over 60 years. Donnie’s love of family was very important to her and she always had time for a visit.

A celebration of Life will be held June 22 in Peru, with internment at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Peru.
