CRAIG CAPLES

Craig Walter Caples, 60 succumbed to his battle with cancer in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 21st, 2020 at home surrounded by all his family.

Craig was born in Torrance, California to Clarence Caples and Sharon Morrow-Caples on March 6th, 1960. He attended Brownville and Auburn Public Schools. He married Cheryl Cooney-Caples on Dec 17th, 1976 in Rockport, Missouri. The couple was blessed with four children.

Craig had various jobs while raising his family, including owning a car repair shop, C&C Wrecker tow company, and was a supervisor of engineering at Smart Chicken for many years. Craig and Cheryl retired early and started traveling.

Craig is survived by his wife Cheryl Caples of 44 years, his children: son Chad Caples and wife Kristy Caples, son Craig Caples and wife April Caples, daughter Jamie Caples–Hamilton, daughter Nicole Caples; 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Craig was preceded in death by his mother Sharon, father Clarence, and brother Ron.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 29, 2:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bedford Cemetery at Howe. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested
