(BEVERLY) MARGARET EDWARDS ARCUS 1935-2023

(Beverly) Margaret Edwards Arcus was born April 30, 1935 to C. Harold and Pearl (Moody) Edwards of rural Auburn, NE. She was the second of five siblings: Joseph R. (Paula) Edwards, Carolyn S. (Edgar) Bredemeier, Meredith E. Edwards (John Miller) and Julie A. (Jeff) Munford.

She graduated from Stella High School in 1953, and the University of Nebraska in 1957 with a bachelor of science degree in home economics. She received her doctorate degree in 1968 from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and was a professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada from 1968 until she retired in 1999.

Margaret was married to Peter Laurence Arcus of Hamilton, New Zealand on June 26, 1966. Throughout their married life, they were best friends and true partners who shared a love of family, of music and theatre, and of travel to many corners of the world.

Margaret passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at her home in Vancouver.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 21 at the Prairie Union Cemetery near Stella, NE.
