AMBER DAWNELLE BOOTH

1983-2024

Amber Dawnelle McMichael, daughter of Alan Eugene and Vonda (Safley) Mc-Michael, was born January 21, 1983, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She attended various schools in Missouri as she was growing up.

In 2013 Amber married Kraig Booth in Auburn, Nebraska. They made their first home in Auburn, and their combined families grew to total five children. The family moved to Humboldt, Nebraska and later Amber and Kraig divorced.

Amber worked at many jobs through her life. While living in Hoskins, Nebraska she had worked as a CNA, and after moving to Auburn and Humboldt worked at Caseys and Subway in Auburn and Alphia in Pawnee City. For many years she was a caregiver for her father as well.

Amber had an artistic streak within her. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a huge fan of butterflies and butterfly art.

On February 6, 2024, Amber was involved in a vehicle accident near Auburn that ended her life here on Earth at the age of 41 years and 16 days. Her parents preceded her in death.

Amber is remembered with love by her children Tana and husband Kyle Betterton, Paul Flemming, all of Kansas City, MO, Dakota McMichael, Cassandra Booth, both of Humboldt; grandchildren Cirilla, Henry, Arthur, and Peter Alan; sister and brother-inlaw Amanda and Richard Powers of Los Lunas, NM, and their children Maximus and Jett Alan; brothers Chad McMichael of Boise, ID, Jared Vore of Hopkins, MO; ex-husband Kraig Booth of Humboldt; Kraig’s family: step-son Dakota Booth, parents Michele and Richard Tanderup, brother Kevin Paul (Carly) Booth of Lincoln, sisters Abby (Evan) Chapman of Falls City, Angel Tanderup of Brownville; aunts Carol Smith and Winifred Jones; uncle Maurice Safley; numerous other relatives and many, many friends.

A memorial service was held Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, with Derek Moeller officiating. Dakota McMichael and Cassie Booth were urn bearers, and Tana Betterton and Paul Flemming honorary bearers. Burial of ashes will be later at New Hope Cemetery at Hopkins, Missouri.

Services were entrusted to Hemmingsen Funeral Home.
