CADEN ROY HENSLEY

2003 - 2023

Caden Roy Hensley, oldest son of Whitney Denae Norris, was born August 7, 2003, in Odessa, Texas. Shortly after birth, Caden and Whitney moved to Auburn, Nebraska. Caden grew up and attended school at Auburn, graduating from Auburn High School in 2021. Caden attended church at the Calvary Christian Center Assembly of God.

As a young boy, Caden was a member of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Caden loved all things “cowboy”, he loved roping, cowboy boots, cowboy hats, spurs and chaps, and was rarely seen without a dip of Copenhagen in his lip. He also loved his family very, very much.

On Monday night, March 13, 2023, Caden was rushed to the Nemaha County Hospital. It was there that he passed, having reached the age of 19 years, 6 months, and 6 days. He was preceded in death by his great-grandpa Herbert Itz and great-grandma Georgie Russell.

Those left to remember Caden’s kind heart include his mother Whitney Norris of Auburn; siblings Addyson Denae Sayer and Chandler Wayne Stevens of Auburn, Jacey Hensley of Midland, TX; grandparents Barney and Debbie Russell of Rosenberg, TX, Ron Norris of Odessa, TX; uncle Chad Norris of Weatherford, TX; great-grandparents Vera Itz of Odessa, TX, Donald Brewer of Odessa, TX; multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 18, 2023, officiated by Rev. Adam Blondo at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Barney Russell gave the eulogy. Caden was cremated following the service.
