Good Samaritan Society- Auburn Receives $1,000 AKSARBEN Friends Grant Towards Therapy Garden

Good Samaritan Society-Auburn has been selected to receive a $1,000 AKSARBEN Friends Community Grant.

The funds are going towards the Monarch Miracle Courtyard and Therapy Garden. It is being built in the courtyard of the center at 1322 U St.

Maria Hudson noted the AKSARBEN Foundation grant letter indicated the project was selected to obtain funding because of its dedication to the elder community. She is the center’s marketing/resource development coordinator, Hudson continued the Monarch Miracle Courtyard and Therapy Garden is being developed to improve an outdoor square enclosure. It involves redesigning the space to sustain the environment through planting of perennial native plants.
