Three Staff Resignations, Two Teaching Contracts Approved by APS Board of Ed

Monday night, April 12, the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education accepted three teacher resignations while hiring two new instructors.

Leaving APS will be Diana Eickhoff, Bryce Roth and Matthew Stubbs. Eickhoff, 12th grade English teacher and Bulldog speech coach, is retiring. Roth, ninth through 12th grade teacher, is accepting a teaching position with Milford Public Schools. Stubbs, instrumental music director, will be taking a similar position at Minden Public Schools. Roth and Stubbs will be returning to their respective hometowns.

Contracts were approved with Cassandra Eickhoff as ninth through 12th grade social studies teacher and Ben Hanika as instrumental music instructor. Hanika, who taught at APS from 2014 through 2017, returns after four years at Educational Service Unit (ESU) 4 as technology integration specialist.
