Staff Resignations Accepted and New Staff Hired by APS Board of Education

Three teacher resignations were accepted Monday night, May 13 by the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education. The board also approved three 2019-2020 teaching contracts.

Leaving APS will be Bristol Wenzl, Carlene Frenzel and Andrew Seuferer. Wenzl, fourth grade teacher, is accepting the elementary principal position at Weeping Water Public Schools. Plans of Frenzel, computer science teacher, are uncertain. Seuferer, vocal music teacher the past two years, will be moving to Lincoln.

Contracts were approved for Leah Wehenkel, Haevyn Hug and Jennifer Hyde. Wehenkel is teaching middle school science. She succeeds Klark Knipe, who will be going into farming. Hug will teach elementary special education. Hyde will be a fourth grade teacher, succeeding Wenzl.
