Juvenile Justice Grant Application Approved By Nemaha County Commissioners Dec. 12

Applying for juvenile justice grant funds from the Nebraska Crime Commission was approved Tuesday, Dec. 12 by the Nemaha County Commissioners.

Nemaha County is paying a $2,862 match, which represents a $133 increase over last year. Laura Osborne, program director, said the increase in the county’s match is because additional money is being received. The application also includes Johnson, Pawnee and Richardson counties. It will be the fifth year of applying for funding. Osborne stated she was surprised the four counties are obtaining additional money. Other counties received funding cuts, she noted.
