Johnson’s Annual Father’s Day Chicken BBQ Drew Traditional Crowds with Variety of Activities

The annual Father’s Day Chicken Barbecue happened last weekend in Johnson. Saturday, June 19 included coed softball and sand volleyball tournaments. After the tournaments, the FFA sponsored a 5k run.
The classes of 1970 and 1971 were saluted in the high school on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
Sunday’s festivities began with the continuation of the coed softball tournament at Sportsman’s Park. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m. cars and tractors were displayed on the street in front of the stores, which allowed car enthusiasts in Johnson to show off their hot rods.
