Dr. Zaruba Received UNMC’s AOA Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award

Dr. Michael L. Zaruba with Auburn Family Health Center (AFHC) was presented the Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award by the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). AOA is a non-secret national honor medical society in which membership is based upon scholarship and moral qualities. The University of Nebraska College of Medicine Chapter was organized November 2, 1914, and has grown to more than 800 members.

The Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award is presented annually to recognize a community physician who contributes with distinction to the education and training of medical students. The award is given by the UNMC AOA student members to a community physician who effectively and generously donates his time, skill and experience to teach clinical skills to medical students.
