Auburn Voters Reject Sales Tax Increase By Vote of 386 to 775

By a 2-to-1 margin, Auburn voters were against increasing the city’s sales and use tax in an all-mail election.
There were 386 voters favoring the increase with 775 not in favor. County Clerk Joyce Oakley reported 61 percent of the city’s 2,248 registered voters participated. There were 1,171 ballots returned with 316 undeliverable.
