Auburn Groups to Be Recognized Feb. 13 at Peru State College

The Peru State Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), along with the Bobcat athletic department, will be recognized several student groups from Auburn on Wednesday, February 13. Auburn’s football, cross country, softball, and cheer state championship participants, along with possible other groups, will be acknowledged between the Peru State women’s and men’s games at approximately 7:15 p.m. Peru State will be hosting Missouri Valley with the women’s game beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Auburn students and staff will be recognized at the conclusion of the women’s contest. The Auburn Bulldog cheerleading team will also be performing that evening during the halftime of the men’s game. All attendees from Auburn will be admitted free to the games by showing appropriate identification. SAAC’s fan support committee, headed by senior softball player Erin Snyder (Omaha) and senior baseball player Darren Hasch (Destin, Fla.), tries to invite area high school groups and/ or other community groups for recognition. Snyder has made the initial contact with eight area high schools. Johnson-Brock was the first group to be honored early in January. In addition to Auburn groups being recognized, it will be Peru State Staff Appreciation Night. All faculty and staff from the College have been invited to attend with several being identified for special recognition.
