Auburn’s Leslie Clark Earns Step Forward Award from Nebraska Volunteer Service Commission

ServeNebraska has honored Leslie Clark of Auburn with a Step Forward award in the Adult Volunteer category.

The following information is taken from the nomination submission.

Clark was project manager of Honeybees in the Heartland, the activity of the 2018-2019 Nemaha County Leadership class. It is represented by 26 sculptures throughout five municipalities. Honeybees in the Heartland is a unique collaboration of history, art, business and community. The honeybee was named Nebraska’s state insect years ago following a suggestion by third graders of Louise Howe at Calvert Elementary School in Auburn. Clark sought participation from community members, businesses and organizations across the county.
