APS Board Accepts Derek Bissitt Resignation June 16; Accepts Contract With Elizabeth Rice

The Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education accepted a teacher resignation and a teaching contract Friday, June 16.
 
The resignation of Derek Bissitt was accepted. He will be moving to Leavenworth, Kan. after two years at APS. A 2017-2018 teaching contact with Elizabeth Rice was allowed. Rice will teach American government and American history. She will also be an assistant coach in girls’ basketball and girls’ track and field. Both actions were approved 5-0. Bill Chapin was absent from the meeting.
