About One-Third of Nebraska Winter Wheat in Good or Excellent Condition

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency, Nebraska Extension and other reporters statewide are furnishing the following data.
The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service presents the updated crop report covering the time frame ending Sunday, Jan. 24. All figures are being listed by percentages. The next report is being issued Monday, Feb. 22.
Moisture Supplies
Topsoil: 16 very short, 44 short, 39 adequate and 1 surplus.
Subsoil: 16 very short, 48 short, 35 adequate and 1 surplus.
Field Crop Condition
Winter wheat: 6 very poor, 12 poor, 48 fair, 33 good and 1 excellent.
