Margaret Ann (Morris) Groves was born June 8, 1935 in Peru, Nebraska to Raymond and Leota (Patterson) Morris. Margaret passed away October 5, 2026 in Onawa, Iowa at the age of 91 years. She attended Indian Hill School and Peru State College. On July 24, 1956 she was united in marriage to Theodore Groves in Chicago, Illinois. Margaret lived in Peru, Lexington and Auburn Nebraska, Seattle, Washington , Onawa, Iowa and Dallas, Texas. She worked mainly as a cook and retired after 23 years as head cook at Peru State College. Margaret is survived by son, Harold (Pam) Groves and daughter, Wendy Groves; grandchildren Gary (Riley) Jensen, Karen (Justin) Jensen, Crystal, Jamie, Paige, Dana, Dakota Jonas Groves, Patrice (Lloyd) Arnegard and Emily Constantine; great grandchildren Weston and Boone Jenson, Aliyiah, Korra, Khayaden, Mackenzeigh, Di’Vonte Groves, Decklin Breazile and Arlo Arnegard; sister-in-laws Barbara Morris, Patti (Andy) Stanley; brothers-in-laws Harold Nichols and Dale Kasel, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; daughters Cathy and Sherri Groves; granddaughter, Heaven Groves, sister, Dorothy Nichols, brother, Larry Morris and sister-inlaw Deana Kasel. Margaret’s ashes will be buried along side her Beloved husband, Ted at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Peru, Nebraska on November 5, 2026 at 11:00.
